    Ornamental Milling Machine - Options
  • Manual Reeding, Veining and Shaping - router's fixture is held tightly by an air piston to a template that you cut out of wood and clamp to the lathe bed.

    You then turn a gear and rack system to move the router along the length of the lathe.

  • Lathe Powered Version adds Spiraling Capabilities - the powered router fixture is held by an adjustable air piston, while the lead screw (powered by the lathe's own motor) drives the router along the length of the lathe. Sprockets and chains link lathe rotation and router movement through the lead screw. The router carriage travels along a double track made of 1.25 inch chrome-moly case-hardened steel. Extremely rugged construction for accuracy and freedom from vibration. Designed for Porter Cable 3.25 hp production router. Other routers can be mounted. Sprocket size is changed to create a wide range of thread pitches up to over 20 inches for decorative work on large projects.
