The Lathe Mill |

The concept of The Spin Doctor Milling Accessory was to develop a device that could attach to a Oneway(tm) woodworking lathe and not interfere with normal turning while lending full capabilities to create many ornamental twist designs on spindles and bowls. It is important to note that the full swing capacity of the lathe is available. Other attachments for other lathes are limited to much smaller diameters than possible with the Oneway(tm) 20" and 24" over the bed turning capacities! The Spin Doctor can rough a 24" diameter log and create "twist" or threaded designs on all diameters up to the capacity of the lathe! |
The construction is trememdously sturdy. Pillow blocks, chain, sprockets etc. are industrial strength. Step down pulleys are included to slow down the cutting speed for large diameter work to account for the surface cutting speed of large diameter jobs. Pitch ranges start below .25" and go up to 25" and include many possibilites in-between according to how the included sprockets are installed.![]() |
